About Opportunities for New Direction (OND)
Opportunities for New Direction (OND) is a division of OIC of Clark County, a non-profit organization. OND's mission in the Springfield and Clark County community is to provide vocational training, work readiness and education to help reduce recidivism, to returning citizens and to individuals with criminal backgrounds who have never been to prison. Some of the services offered through OND are: job readiness training, referrals, computer skills training and job placement.

In the past decade, OND has trained and helped hundreds of returning citizens to become employed and productive citizens in Clark County.
***Individuals with a past criminal background
***Individuals whose probation or parole officers have made it part of their community control to require participation
***Individuals referred by local judges as part of their sentencing
***Individuals who feel they need our assistance

OND provides:
Vocational Skills Training that leads to higher paying jobs once you have received your Credentials or Certification.

National Programs and Information:
Federal Bonding Program - A Department of Labor program providing Fidelity Bonds that guarantee honesty for “at-risk”, hard-to-place job seekers. The bonds cover the first six months of employment. There is no cost to the job applicant or the employer.
